Ecorodovias Infraestrutura e Logística S.A. and Pátria Investimentos have emerged as the only two companies to present bids for the BRL3.9 billion (US$1.26 billion) Rodovias Centro-Oeste Paulista project in São Paulo (Brazil).
The State of Sao Paulo launched the bidding process for the concession contract for the road system lot called “Rodovias Centro-Oeste Paulista” in November 2016.
The project, which will link the municipalities of Igarapava andFlorínea, is expected to be awarded next March.
The concession is lot four of the highway concessions program announced in November 2015.
That lot refers to an extension of 570 km, which includes the State highways SP 266, SP 294, SP 322, SP 328, SP 330, SP 333 and SP 351, and provides for the duplication of 201 km of SP 333, between the City of Borborema and the border of the State of São Paulo with the State of Paraná.
The 30-year concession is worth an estimated BRL3.9 billion, including BRL1.8 billion road improvements and BRL1 billion to expand a 200km stretch of state highway SP-333.
International Finance Corporation (IFC), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) are advisors for the project.
