The Government of Haiti (GDH) is seeking private operators to carry out the Haiti Cap Haitien port PPP project.
GDH has launched a pre-qualification process in order to select suitable candidates to develop the project, which involves the rehabilitation and modernization of the international seaport located in Cap-Haitien, Haiti.
Private operators interested in the project must prove experience in the port sector, as well as design, build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFMO) the container terminal under a PPP contract.
US Agency for International Development (USAID) will support the project with a US$65 million agreement with the GDH. In addition, GDH and USAID have hired the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as the lead advisor to help in the transaction process as well as in the selection of the operator.
As we reported in July 2014, IFC already issued a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for international technical consultants for the Haiti Cap Haitien port PPP project.
The deadline to submmit the prequalification applications is August 4th before 18:00 (local hour).
Interested firms can download the prequalification documents here.
