Only one company has submitted a proposal for a public private partnership (PPP) contract for the implementation and operation of the metro system of Salvador e Lauro de Freitas - SMSL.
CCR, which has among its main shareholders, Andrade Gutierrez and Camargo Correa, was the only bidder.
The PPP project involves the construction of Line 2, the extension of Line 1 and the operation and maintenance of both lines for 30 years.
The submission of proposals took place on Monday August 19th at the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa). The state Commission already approved the technical requirements from CCR's bid. The opening of the economic and financial bid is scheduled for today at 14h30 Sao Paulo's time.
Construction companies Andrade Gutierrez and Camargo Correa were part of the consortium building the Line 1 of Salvador metro system.
The project was structured with a PMI in 2012. The winning bidder will have to pay R$2.500.000,00 to the following companies for the Feasibility Studies carried out in the PMI stage:
The estimated investment for the project is US$1.7 billion.
