The Vice president of the Government of Colombia, Germán Vargas LLeras, has recently informed that the Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) awarded last Friday the contract for the Bucaramanga- Pamplona road PPP project.
The project is the first to be awarded from the third package of the Colombian Fourth Generation (4G) road concessions program, which includes about 40 projects to build approximately 8,000 km with a total investment of US$17.5 billion.
After the analysis of the bid submitted, CSS Constructores S.A (Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte Constructores S.A) emerged as the best bidder.
The consortia will be responsible for the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the road during the concession period.
Bucaramanga- Pamplona road PPP project involves the development of a 133 km road linking Bucaramanga with the city of Pamplona, which includes the Bucaramanga bypass and the Floridablanca bypass. The new road will have connections with the Barbosa – Bucaramanga and the Pamplona – Cúcuta concessions. The concession value is estimated at US$436 million.
