Τhe Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund S.A.(HRADF) has announced the release of an invitation to interested parties to submit expression of interest (EOIs) to participate in an international public competitive bidding tender process for the award of the services concession contract in relation to financing, operation, maintenance and exploitation of Egnatia Odos motorway PPP and three vertical road axes.
Egnatia Odos is a motorway that has been already built and in operation, with a fully controlled access dual carriageway facility, 658 kilometers long, stretching from Igoumenitsa in the Prefecture of Thesprotia (north-west coast of Greece), to Kipi in the Prefecture of Evros (at the border with Turkey).
The three vertical road axes, 225 kilometers long in total, are fully controlled access facilities that link the Egnatia Odos with the neighboring countries (Albania the FYROM and Bulgaria).
The award of the services concession contract for the financing, operation, maintenance and commercial exploitation of the project to the preferred investor is for a maximum period of up to 40 years.
The project envisages an estimated investment of around €6.5 billion (US$7.6 million).
The tender process will be conducted in two phases: a pre-qualification phase and a binding offers phase. The expression of interest must be submitted by the interested parties on January 26, 2018.
