The state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, has launched a tender process for the "Ganha Tempo" citizen service public-private partnership (PPP) project.
This announcement comes after the state begun the public consultation for the project in December 2015.
The concession involves the implementation, management, operation and maintenance of seven citizen service units, located in the cities of Cuiabá, Varzea Grande, Rondonópolis, Sinop, Cáceres, Barra do Garças and Lucas do Rio Verde.
The concession will have a period of 15 year and it has an estimated value of R$533 million (US$148.6 million). The project may be the first PPP of Mato Grosso. The concessionaire will be responsible for an investment of RS35.5 million (US$9.9 million).
Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before July 2016.
Mato Grosso is one of the states of Brazil, the third largest by area, located in the western part of the country. Neighboring states are Rondônia, Amazonas, Pará, Tocantins, Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul. It also borders Bolivia to the southwest.
According to sources CCCC will invest R$400 million (US$113 million) in the terminal as a partner of WTorre. In addition to the Chinese commitment, the project will raise R$1.2 billion (US$342 million) in debt to be paid with revenues from the project. The project will require investments of R$1.5 billion (US$427 million), of which R$ 780 million (US$222 million) in the first phase of the construction.
