The Government of Malawi  has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) to develop student accommodation projects through the PPP model.

There are four public universities that require student accommodation in varying degrees and sizes. Some of these universities have more than one campus and student accommodation would be required in all the campuses. The public universities are,

• Mzuzu University (MZUNI),
• Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR),
• Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and
• University of Malawi (UNIMA).

The private sector will be required, using an agreed PPP arrangement, construct, manage and operate the new facilities. 

Interested parties must submit their expression of interest on or before April 28.
