Macquarie Capital hires ex-CVC Capital partner

Macquarie Capital has appointed Frédéric Devos as its global head of portfolio management. Devos will be based in London and will report to Alex Harvey, global head of principal transactions.

Macquarie Capital said he will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of on-balance sheet investments across a number of markets and sectors.

Devos joins from CVC Capital Partners Ltd, where he was an infrastructure partner. Previously, he was also the chief executive of Veolia Water UK, Ireland and Northern Europe. At Veolia Water, Devos had a 10-year career in different positions.

Devos will also work closely with Daniel Wong to originate investment opportunities across European utilities, contractors and services companies.

Daniel Wong is executive director and head of European infrastructure and utilities at Macquarie Capital.
