Macedonia tenders PPP building project

The Macedonian city of Ohrid has issued a tender process for the construction of a an administrative building through a PPP project.

The project involves the design, construction, finance and maintenance of the building. The project includes the development of a building of business, administrative and trading building which includes building of covered green market.

Interested parties must submit their request to participate on or before 10 July 2014.

Macedonia has several PPP project in tender stage.  In late May we reported that the deadline to bid for the construction of a tramway track on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer basis in Skopje (Macedonia) had been extended.

The deadline to submit bids was extended until 1 September 2014. The project cost is estimated at €243 million ($335 million). The PPP contract is for a period of 35 years.

In late January this year the Municipality of Bitola, Macedonia, launched a tender procedure for a Public Private Partnership for the revitalization, modernization and maintenance of street illumination in the Municipality and in the regions of the former Municipalities of Capari, Bistrica and Kukurechani.

The investment required for the project is estimated to be between €4 million and €5 million.
