Macedonia tenders leisure PPP

The Municipality of Zelenikovo, Macedonia, has launched a tender process to develop a sports and recreation centre for golf courses through the public private partnership (PPP) model.

The preferred bidder will be responsible for the construction, finance, operation, management and maintenance of a sports and recreation centre for golf courses and supporting facilities. The project has the following components:

  • Sports infrastructure; golf courses with 18 holes on an area of 50,80 ha;
  • Preparatory golf course;
  • Accommodation and catering facilities; a minimum of 10 bungalows with a minimum of 2 beds in a bungalow and a coffee bar with a minimum of 100 catering places;
  • Horticultural arrangement of the space by planting at least 200 trees;
  • Purchase of a minimum of 15 golf carts;
  • Purchase of a minimum of 2 tractors and a lawnmower;
  • Transport infrastructure, with the following elements: access road and bridge in accordance with the technical standards for construction of such a type of facilities and category of road.

The project estimated value excluding value-added tax (VAT) is €1.14 million (US$1.3 million).

Zelenikovo Municipality is located in the central part of the Republic of Macedonia. It has a population of approximately 4100 inhabitants.

Interested parties must submit their applications on or before May 9, 2016.
