Luis Sanchez Salmeron leaves Globalvia

Mr. Luis Sánchez Salmeron, the former Managing Director of Globalvia Infraestructuras S.A., has recently left the firm.

According to sources, the movement could be related to the fact that Sanchez Salmerón and Javier Perez were the two candidates to substitute Juan Bejar as CEO. When Bejar recently left the firm to serve as CEO of FCC, Javier Perez finally became CEO of Globalvia.

Mr. Salmerón served as Managing Director of Global Via Infraestructuras S.A. since February 2011.

Prior to that, he had worked as Managing Director of Ferrovial Aeropuertos S.A and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BAA Airports Limited.

Mr. Salmerón has been involved in local and international transportation infrastructure projects and has considerable business, finance and strategic planning expertise, having held also senior positions with Acciona and Grupo Dragados in Spain, the UK, Chile and Mexico.

Globalvia is currently being offered to investors. According to sources, FCC and Bankia, the 50:50 owners, have received four bids to purchase the company.

Globalvia is one of the world's leading firms in management of infrastructure assets. Globalvia's portfolio boasts a high degree of product diversification and includes a significant number of assets. Globalvia's portfolio is composed by 19 highways, 8 railways, one airport, two hospitals and two ports in seven countries: Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Andorra, Mexico, Costa Rica and Chile.
