Legal consultant sought for rail PPP project in India The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited, a company owned by India Ministry of Railways, has undertaken Construction, Operation & Maintenance of Dankuni - Gomoh Phase-I of Dankuni - Sonnagar Section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT).

The project has been found technically feasible and financial aspects of the project will be studied by a financial consultant. As a part of the project development, the Authority has decided to draft a concession agreement for the project which will serve as a model concession agreement for similar projects to be undertaken by the Authority in future.

In pursuance of the above, the Authority has decided to carry out the process for selection of a legal adviser for drafting the model concession agreement. The legal adviser shall also be required to provide necessary legal advice and assistance in the finalization of other bidding and project documents for implementation of the project through PPP in accordance with the Terms of Reference specified at Schedule.

According to the Request for Proposal, the last day to receive questions for clarifications is April 30th. The proposals are due on June 12th.
