KGAL Group buys winds farm in France and Germany

German investment manager, KGAL Group, has acquired the 12 MW wind farm Dargies in the Picardie region in northern France from WKN AG and two wind farms with a total capacity of 36.8 MW in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany) from juwi's Windwinzer.

Law firm, Watson, Farley and Williams (WFW) advised KGAL on both acquisitions.

WKN AG will continue to supervise the construction of the French wind farm, which has planned six 2MW wind turbines of the Enercon E82 type at a hub height of 78 metres. After completion in in July 2014, more than 6,000 French households are expected to be provided with electricity each year.

The newly acquired wind farms in Germany are operated with 12 wind turbines of the Vestas type with a capacity of approximately 3 MW each.

KGAL currently manages capital for 110,600 investors with equity investments in a total of 135 active limited partnership funds. Investors have entrusted €6.4 billion in equity capital to KGAL for these funds. KGAL is an investment company owned by Commerzbank, BayernLB, HASPA Finanzholding and Sal. Oppenheim.
