KAPP seeks qualifications for the Egaila Services and Entertainment Center

Kuwait's Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) and the Kuwait Municipality have launched a request for qualification (RFQ) for the "Services and Entertainment Center in Egaila" PPP Project.

The proposed facility will be located in Fintas Commercial and Administrative Area, in Al-Ahmadi district, bound by Egaila residential area from the north and the east, the Private Universities area from the south, and Jaber Al-Ali residential area from the west. The project has ben allocated a total and area of 85,50 m2.

The primary objective of the project is to to provide a recreational, cultural and sports activities center attracting all age ranges especially the youth as well as a Fresh Food Market that meets the demands of the residents of Al-Ahmadi Governorate.

The project will be procured as a design, build, finance, operate, maintain, and transfer structure in accordance with the PPP Law (Law No. 7 of 208 regulating public private partnerships and its amendments). The project contract will have a period of 30 years including a maximun 3 years period for the design finance and construction of all infrastructure assets.

The the new facilities will be composed of:

  •  a recreational, cultural, commercial, and sports center comprised of four floors (consisting of a basement, ground floor, first and second floors) with a total rentable area not exceeding 65,500 m², including adjoined parking for each level.
  • a Fresh Food Market with a total area of 20,000 m² and a rentable area not to exceed 10,000  m².

Interested parties must submit their statements of qualification on or before 21 July 2015.
