Kamarajar Port seeks developers for marine liquid terminal

Kamarajar Port Authority has launched a Request for Qualification in order to select a developer to carry out the Marine Liquid Terminal-II project at the Kamarajar Port.

The project will carried out on Design Build Finance Operate Transfer (DBFOT) Basis. The concession period will have a duration of 30 years.

Kamarajar Port Limited is the 12th Major Port is situated on the East Coast of India about 20 km north of Chennai Port along the coastline, in the State of Tamil Nadu. The Authority has decided to develop a marine liquid terminal through Public- Private Partnership (PPP) and has decided to carry out the bidding process for selection of the winning bidder for the project.

The estimated investment for the PPP project is estimated at INR3.9 billion (US$58 million).

The deadline to submit the RFQ documents has not yet been set.
