Juan Bejar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Vice-Chairman of FCC since 2013, has plans to leave the firm anytime soon.
According to sources, Mr. Bejar would be appointed as non-executive Chairman at the Spanish infrastructure concession group Globalvia once he leaves FCC. Globalvia was recently sold Globalvia to Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the Government of Malaysia's strategic investment fund.
Prior to this but also during this month FCC and Carlos Slim's group Carso Infraestructuras y Construcción created a 50/50 joint venture for the development of projects in America.
In May this year FCC launched a new concession unit which will be named FCC Concesiones and will be fully owned by FCC. However, according to sources, it could be sold partly to FCC's partner Carlos Slim.
Mr. Bejar has extensive experience in several areas. He has worked, among others, as Chief Executive Officer of Ferrovial Infraestructuras, as Executive Director of BAA Airports Limited and as an Executive Chairman of Citigroup Infrastructure Management Company (2007 - 2009), Globalvia Infraestructuras (2009-2011) and Cementos Portland Valderrivas SA (2012).
Mr. Béjar Ochoa holds a Degree in Law & Business from Instituto Católico de Administração de Empresas-ICADE.
