Jones Day welcomes Projects & Infrastructure partner Nadim Khan in Dubai

The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Nadim Khan has joined the firm as a partner in the Firm's Projects & Infrastructure Practice. He will be based in Jones Day’s Dubai Office.

An attorney for more than 20 years, including 15 years in the Middle East, Mr. Khan has advised on major transactions both inside and outside the region. He also has structured and developed a number of "first of its kind" Islamic financing products.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2016, Mr. Khan advised on many high-profile and award-winning transactions including the Salik toll road financing (Transportation, Energy and Infrastructure Team of the Year, Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2012 and Project Finance Team of the Year, IFLR Middle East Awards 2011), the Villamar Sukuk (Debt and Equity-linked Deal of the Year, IFLR Middle East Awards 2008), and the Milton Gate real estate transaction (International Real Estate Financing Summit, Middle East [IREEF ME] 2009 Award for Excellence for Outstanding Achievement in Islamic Real Estate Product Innovation).

Arman Galledari, leader of Jones Day's Projects & Infrastructure Practice:

"Nadim's arrival enhances our ability to help our clients develop and execute complex, large-scale projects across the Middle East and Africa. His broad experience in the region and involvement with various industries will bring additional depth to what is already a very strong practice group."

Sheila Shadmand, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Dubai Office:

"Nadim is a valuable addition for us here in Dubai. The demand for experienced legal counsel, able to advise on complicated projects and the related financings, including Islamic compliant products, continues to grow. Nadim has a proven track record that will be of great benefit to our clients. We are very happy he has come to Jones Day."
