The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Fradyn Suárez has joined as partners in its Miami Office.
Ms. Suárez is a partner in its Projects & Infrastructure Practice. She comes from the Miami office of Hunton & Williams.
Ms. Suárez's practice focuses on cross-border financing transactions within the Latin America and Caribbean regions, in addition to other emerging markets. She has advised a large number of commercial and development banks, among other lenders and borrowers, and she advises clients on transactions. Notably, Ms. Suárez represented a sponsor in the $420 million sale of shares of a Panamanian toll road concessionaire to the Government of Panama.
Ms. Suárez earned her J.D. from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law, and her bachelor's degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Women's Fund of Miami-Dade County. She also co-founded and directs UC-CANF, Inc. (an organization committed to advancing human rights in Cuba) and also directs the Cuban American National Foundation.
