Isolux hires ex-Abengoa as Business Development Director

Isolux Corsan Group has strengthen its management team with the appointment of Enrique Barreiro Nogaledo as Managing Director of International Business Development.

Mr. Barreiro joins Isolux from Abengoa where he held several executive positions within the Abengoa group of companies in Mexico, United States and Canada.

He will substitute à“scar Via who joined Isolux in 2009 from Indra. Mr. Via will hold a new position as Director of Institutional Relations, working closely with chairman Luis Delso and CEO Antonio Portela.

Spanish newspaper Expansion reports that these changes are related to a new movement to try to take the company public through an IPO. According to the source, the company could launch the IPO in the Madrid stock exchange or via a yieldco as Abengoa has done recently in the NASDAQ with its renewable energy assets.

The process could take place during 2015.

Isolux recently reported 77% of its revenue and 86% of the backlog coming from overseas.

Isolux recently completed the financial close on the project to design, build, finance, operate and maintain I-69 Section 5 from Bloomington to Martinsville in Indiana, USA.
