IRB Infrastructure Developers, a PPP road developer in India, has announced it has emerged as preferred bidder for a road PPP contract.
The company will design, built, operate and transfer (DBFOT) a six-laning project of around 113 Km from Udaipur to Rajasthan / Gujarat border (India) on section of National Highway 8 (NH8) from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The estimated project cost is approximately INR21,000 million (US$314 million) with a period of concession of 21 years, including construction period of 910 days. This work will be under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-V.
With this project, the company will have 21 build-operate-transfer (BOT) road projects, out of which 13 projects are under operation.
IRB Infrastructure was recently awarded the six Laning of Agra - Etawah Bypass section of NH-2. As we reported in June, the project is in the region of Agra and Etawah (India) and the total length of the road will be approximately 124 km. The project reached financial close that month. The road PPP project was to be developed in build - operation - transfer (BOT - Toll) mode.
