Infracapital, a private equity firm specializing in mid-market, acquisitions and invests in unlisted equity positions, has expanded its transaction team with the appointment of Peter Mitchev and Guy Hacking.
Mitchev joins as an associate from the utilities and renewables team at RBC Capital Markets where he gained significant experience on a number of utilities transactions. Prior to joining RBC, he was with HSBC and qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG.
Hacking joins as an associate director, returning to Infracapital having spent two years as an investment and asset manager with Mocoh SA, where he evaluated and executed the acquisition of infrastructure assets in the oil and gas space. Prior to working at Infracapital, he worked for Climate Change Capital as an analyst in the M&A Advisory team, focussing on the economic opportunitues created by a low carbon economy.
Infracapital is the infrastructure equity investment team of M&G Investments, the asset management arm of Prudential Plc. The Infracapital team manages over £1.6 billion of funds under management, focused on investment in core infrastructure assets across Europe. The team is based in London.
The firm specializes in making investments in infrastructure sector such as utilities with a focus on water, gas, metering, Independent power producers and energy traders, and electricity (transmission, distribution and storage); renewable with a focus on wind and solar; transportation with a focus on ports, airports, toll roads, bridges, and other essential transport operations; and social infrastructure classes with a focus on waste management, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, government accommodation, and communication infrastructure.
