The Government of Indonesia is to launch a tender process for three public-private partnership (PPP) drinking water projects in Bandar Lampung (Lampung), Jatiluhur (West Java) and in Karian (Banten).
Public Works and Public Housing Ministry's Cipta Karya director general Sri Hartoyo, overseeing public housing and utilities, stated that new feasibility studies for the projects were almost complete and ready for tender. Those projects had been tendered in 2015 but failed to get bidders, he added.
The Bandar Lampung and Karian projects will have an approximate investment of IDR900 billion (US67.5 million) of third-party investment each, while the Jatiluhur project will requires IDR1.8 trillion (US$135 million) investment. All three drinking water systems aim be completed before 2019.
