India seeks advisor for Feasibility Study of railway line

The Government of India has decided to undertake construction of 3rd Railway Line between Bhadrak-Nergundi in the state of Odisha through a Build Operate Transfer (BOT - annuity) contract. The indicative cost of the project is Rs.8,230 million (US$133 million).

The Government has launched a Request of Proposal (RFP) for the selection of a Technical Consultant to prepare a feasibility report for the project.

The Feasibility Report shall include traffic and engineering surveys, alignment review, land plans and preliminary design of  geometrics, project facilities, cost estimates and financial plan.

Interested bidders needs to submit their proposal on or before March 19, 2014.

The project, which is 80 km. long, starts from Bhadrak and ends at Jakhapura (50 km.) and again starts at Haridaspur and ends at Nergundi (30 km.).
