Hesse launches tender for police station PPP

The German state of Hessen, through Hessisches Immobilienmanagement, has launched a tender process to develop a police station though a public private partnership (PPP) project.

The project, which will be located in Melsungen, involves the development of a building with a total area of 1,137 m² to hold 48 staff. The preferred bidder will be responsible for the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the new facilities for a period of 30 years. In addition it will include the demolition of the existing building located in the project site.

Interested parties must submit their request to participate in Germany on or before 16 July 2015. It is planned that between 3 and 5 teams will be shortlisted.

Hessen, one of the 16 German Länder (Federal States), is at the heart of Germany. Embracing the city of Frankfurt am Main, the Rhine-Main conurbation and Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt (FRA), Hessen is one of Europe's leading economic locations.

Hessisches Immobilienmanagement (HI), a regional organisation under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance of the State of Hessen, is responsible for managing state-owned real estate. HI is the service provider and partner of the state administration of Hessen for all aspects of management and marketing of the State's properties.
