HDR Engineering acquires two engineering firms in the U.S.

HDR Engineering has acquired Tennessee-based Infrastructure Corporation of America (ICA) and MEI, LLC, a liquid natural gas (LNG) consulting firm based in Pooler, Georgia.

ICA is focused on transportation asset maintenance and management. It manages over 20 long-term asset maintenance management contracts in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Texas, Missouri, Arizona and South Carolina, including approximately 3,650 structures, 190 facilities and 4,700 lane-miles of roadway. ICA employs 400 asset management staff across eight states.

The ICA acquisition includes its engineering division, ICA Engineering, Inc., which complements ICA's asset management portfolio with high-value civil engineering services.

The Environmental Financial Consulting Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Infrastructure Corporation of America in its sale to HDR.

MEI is a globally recognized engineering and consulting company specializing in LNG facilities and gas processing, as well as hydrocarbon storage and transport infrastructure.

George A. Little, HDR, Inc. chairman and CEO, stated:

"We've set a goal of cutting 10 percent of the owner's cost over the life cycle of HDR-designed and constructed facilities by improving the delivery process. Both MEI and ICA offer unique capabilities that will help our clients stretch their capital dollars and maximize operational efficiency."
