Greek fire station PPP delivered

The sixth fire station built via a PPP was delivered today, as part of the project regarding the design, construction and maintenance of seven (7) new fire stations in Greece.

The financing of the project has been undertaken by the European Investment Bank and Eurobank, with a participation of 50% each. WS Atkins International is independent auditor.

The indicative budget for the project was €31,5 million.

The School Buildings Organisation SA acts as contracting authority for the project and the construction company Gantzoulas SA as awarded contractor. The project was awarded in September 2008 and signed in April 2009.

The Lefkas Fire Brigade has modern building facilities now available, including a room for multiple uses, garages, sports and training facilities and more.

All fire station establishments have bioclimatic designs, aiming at the maximum possible level of energy conservation, which was also a specification of the bidders proposals evaluated during the tender process.
