Greece launches second phase of tender procedure for waste PPP project

The second phase of the tender procedure has begun for the selection of the private partner who will undertake the design, construction, maintenance, technical management and operation of new waste treatment plant via a PPP in Grammatikon Attica, Greece.

By unanimous decision of the Contracting Authority (EDSNA) the invitation for participation in the competitive dialogue was approved and addressed to the shortlisted candidates:

  • ARCHIRODON GROUP NV - INTRAKAT - ENVITEC
  • AKTOR CONCESSIONS - HELEKTOR
  • ERETVO - DOMOSPORT - EGNON
  • TERNA ENERGY - PUBLIC POWER CORPORATION (PPC)
  • J&P AVAX - ÎœESOGEIOS

The project will have a concession period of 27 years.

Invitations for Expressions of Interest for the project were released in January 2013. Eight candidates submitted interest for the project in February and five of them were shortlisted later in July.
