Government of Uzbekistan released teaser for 200 MW wind PPP project

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan has released a teaser for a 200 MW wind PPP project in Beruniy and Qorao’zak districts, Republic of Karakalpakstan. The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan will soon launch a tender in order to select an investor-developer to further develop the project.

The selected private developer will be responsible for designing, development, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, financing, commissioning and transfer (DBFOMT) of the project including transmission lines.

The wind farm has 25 years PPA term with JSC NEGU starting from the commercial operations of the Project.

The following companies have been appointed to support the preparation of the Project: 

  • Financial and lead transaction advisor: Synergy Consulting Infrastructure and Financial Advisory Services Inc. 
  • Legal advisor: White & Case
  • Technical advisor: Gopa-Intec and Juru Energy
