Government of India gives investment approval to four road PPP projects The Indian Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval to four road PPP projects.Four laning of Rohtak-Hissar section of NH-10 in Haryana

The four laning of the 'Rohtak-Hissar' section of National Highway-10 in the state of Haryana under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase III, on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) Mode of delivery. The cost is estimated to be Rs.1310.55 crore (US$244 million) including the cost of Rs.351.30 crore towards the cost of land acquisition, resettlement & rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be 98.81 km.

Four laning of Bhavnagar-Veraval section of NH-8E in Gujarat

The Cabinet committee approved the 'Bhavnagar-Veraval' section of National Highway-8E in the state of Gujarat under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase IV on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) Mode. The cost is estimated to be Rs.3338.86 crore (US$622 million) including the cost of Rs.556.9 crore towards the cost of land acquisition, resettlement & rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be 259.98 km.

Six laning of Chakeri-Allahabad section of NH-2 in Uttar Pradesh

The Government also approved the project of 'Chakeri-Allahabad' section of National Highway-2 in the state of Uttar Pradesh under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase V on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) Mode. The cost is estimated to be Rs.1691.91 crore (US$315 million) including the cost of Rs.338.25 crore towards the cost of land acquisition, resettlement & rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be 146.31 km.

Four laning of Khed-Sinnar section of NH-50 in Maharashtra

The Committee approved the investment proposal for the implementation of the 'Khed-Sinnar' section of National Highway-50 in the state of Maharashtra under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase IV on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) Mode. The cost is estimated to be Rs.1574.01 crore (Us$293 million) including the cost of Rs.225.81 crore towards the cost of land acquisition, resettlement & rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be 137.94 km.

This approval is a necessary step for the award of the projects according to NHAI rules.
