Government of India approves four PPP projects for award The Indian Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave yesterday its approval to four PPP road projects:

Four laning of Numaligarh to Jorhat section of NH-37 in Assam

The project has been approved under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme in North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE) Phase 'A' on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Annuity) mode of delivery. The cost is estimated to be Rs.584.68 crore (US$108 million) excluding land acquisition and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be approx. 51 kms.

Four laning of Demow to Bogibil junction section of NH-37 in Assam

The project has been approved under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme in North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Annuity) mode of delivery. The cost is estimated to be Rs.473.45 crore (US$88 million) excluding land acquisition and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be approx. 46 kms.

Four laning of Jorhat to Demow section of NH-37 in Assam

The project has been approved under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme in North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE) Phase 'A' on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Annuity) mode of delivery. The cost is estimated to be Rs.874.69 crore (US$163 million) excluding land acquisition and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be approx. 80 kms.

Four laning of Jabalpur-Bhopal section of NH-12 in Madhya Pradesh

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has also given its approval for the four laning with Paved Shoulders (PSS) of the Jabalpur-Bhopal section of National Highway-12 in the state of Madhya Pradesh under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase III, on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) mode of delivery.

The cost is estimated to be Rs.2686.91 crore (US$500 million) including the cost of Rs.200.95 crore towards the cost of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of road will be 294.21 kms.
