Golding Capital Partners has announced the final closing for its two current infrastructure funds, with total commitments of EUR1.5 billion (US$1.49 billion).
The fund of funds, Golding Infrastructure 2020 closed at EUR943 million (US$942 million) surpassing its target size of EUR700 million (US$699.29 million) whereas Golding Infrastructure Co-Investment 2020 also closed well above its original target at EUR578 million (US$577.41 million).
Golding Infrastructure 2020 is a fourth-generation fund that will implement an investment strategy of a global approach diversified by sector. The fund is aimed to invest in infrastructure assets that address some of the key megatrends affecting society, such as urbanization, climate change, digitization, and healthcare. The fund targets a net IRR of 7-8 percent p.a.
Whereas Golding Infrastructure Co-Investment 2020 enables institutional investors to supplement their existing infrastructure portfolios with selected attractive direct investment opportunities alongside experienced fund managers, primarily in Europe and North America. It targets a net IRR of 9-10 percent p.a.
