A consortium formed by French contractor, Génie Civil et Construction (GCC), Dutch infrastructure fund DIF Infrastructure III and IDEX ENERGIES have been awarded a public private partnership contract for the expansion of the University of Medicine 'Lyon Sud'.
According to the Official Journal of the European Union, the contract was signed on 2 August 2013 and it is valued at €35.8 million.
The PPP project involves the design, build, finance and maintenance of several new buildings of the "Faculty of Medicine Lyon Sud" and the construction of parking spaces at the same university.
The Official Journal of the European Union said that the date of contract award decision was 23 July 2013.
This is not the first French campus in which DIF Infrastructure III is investing. A consortium of Vinci and DIF Infrastructure III recently closed the financing for the Toulouse-Mirail University PPP project in France.
Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels, BTP Banque and Crédit Coopératif provided debt for the project. The project was signed on July 23rd, 2013.
