French road PPP awarded

The Communauté de Communes de l'Etampois Sud-Essonne​ (CAESE) has awarded a contract for road construction PPP project in Etampes (France).

The contract is for design,build, finance and operate (DBFO) a road link, between Avenue de la Sabliere and the RD-191, with a total length of 2 about kilometers in Etampes, a town in the metropolitan area of Paris (France). 

The project also includes the extension of the avenue Pierre Richier and Jean Colombel Street to connect to the future deviation. The connection will be limited to 50 km/h and will have 2 or 3 lanes. The deviation will have sidewalks for pedestrian paths and a sanitation system ensuring the collection and treatment of water from the road platform.

The total value of the procurement is €6.71 million (US$7.54 million)

Three bids were received for the project and finally the contract was awarded on 4 August to a consortium formed by the companies Charier SA, Charier TP and TP Charier South.

Charier created the special purpose vehicle company Société Infrastructure Louette (Silouette) for the project. The Charier Group is specialized in the construction of roads and industrial platforms.
