Fremantle Ports seeks interest for two PPP projects

Fremantle Ports is inviting expressions of interest  from parties interested in developing and operating two PPP projects.

Kwinana Bulk Liquids Berth is a part of Fremantle Ports' Kwinana Bulk Jetty, a common-user facility which currently handles both dry and liquid bulk trades. The envisaged development comprises a south-western, open pile extension to the Kwinana Bulk Jetty plus associated safety equipment, onshore/offshore support infrastructure and security monitoring systems.

The bulk liquids berth will handle a range of commodities including petroleum products, chemicals and liquid fertilisers. Fremantle Ports anticipates a long-term private commercial agreement to be finalised over the next 12 months.

In a second project, VQ Automotive & Ro-Ro Terminal, Fremantle Ports is seeking EOI from parties interested in developing and operating a dedicated automotive and Ro-Ro terminal under a long-term lease on Victoria Quay in the Port of Fremantle's Inner Harbour.

VQ Automotive & Ro-Ro Terminal  will be serviced by two dedicated berths handling vessels of up to 265m in length, long-term tenure is available over a 10ha site.

The port's automotive and Ro-Ro trades have grown at average rates of 8.0% and 10.6% pa respectively over the past 10 years.

The EOI documentation for both projects can be downloaded by registering through the Tenders page.
