The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has announced a shortlist of four teams in the LaGuardia AirTrain procurement as a result of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) published on March 22, 2021.
The AirTrain project will connect LaGuardia airport to the New York City Transit Subway 7 Line and the Long Island Rail Road Port Washington Branch at Mets-Willets Point. The project will create 3,000 direct jobs and allow for more than US$500 million in contracts for minority-owned, women-owned and local businesses. Based on a thorough review of all the submissions, the Port Authority’s selection committee made its final selection of the top four teams, which are the following:
The shortlisted teams will be required to submit bids by April 2022 for evaluation by a Port Authority selection committee. A final selection will be announced during the summer of 2022.
