Five consortia present response to the RFQ for Jaipur Metro PPP The Jaipur Metro rail project on Tuesday received response from 11 companies, from India and abroad, forming five teams, for its request for qualification (RFQ) seeking public private partnership (PPP) concessionaire for the project.Project DescriptionThe civil work of stage 1 is being done by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The first phase with 9.25 km of track (east west corridor) will be complete by 2013.The companies which will qualify for the bid will look after the operation and maintenance, rolling stock, signalling and telecommunication for first stage. Also, for second stage the companies will do entire work including the civil work for 24 kilometre route (Sitapura to Amababari)." For both the stages the estimated cost will be around Rs 10,000 crore.
RevenueAccording to sources, government has assured investors, among other incentives, 1,00,000 square metres of land, which is owned by the Mansarovar depot. This land alone is worth Rs 500 crore. Sources said the government might hand over this piece of land for developing both residential and commercial complexes.
Apart from fare collection, investors would get advertising rights for the entire Metro corridor and the right to use land commercially at all the 20 Metro stations.

    NHAI releases RFP for seven road projects

    The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has released lists of prequalified bidders for seven road projects under the DBFOT model. Final bids for these public private partnership (PPP) projects have to be submitted on September 29th (the three first projects of the table below) and 30th (the four final projects of the table below).
