The Government of British Columbia has announced three consortiums that have been shortlisted for a major contract on the CAD$3.9 billion (US$2.9 billion) Surrey Langley SkyTrain extension in southeastern Metro Vancouver in the province of British Columbia, Canada.
The shortlisted firms are as follows:
According to the contract, these companies will be responsible for the design and installation of SkyTrain track works, as well as the design, installation and integration of electrical systems such as power supply, telecommunications and automatic train control. The British Columbia Department of Transportation will award two contracts. One is for the construction of an overpass, road works and utilities and the other is for the design and construction of eight new stations by the end of 2023.
The winner will be announced in early 2024.
