Financial close reached for Lille university PPP

The University of Lille Nord de France has announced it has reached financial close.

The company awarded is CS Lille Partnership. The consortium formed by Fayat, Dalkia and the Fund for Investment and Development of Public-Private Partnerships 2 (FIDEPPP2) also submitted a proposal for the project

The project involved the design, construction, financing, maintenance and technical operations for a 25-year period.

Bank financing of the project, totaling about €63 million (US$67 million), is provided by Crédit Foncier de France and Caisse d'Epargne et de Prévoyance Nord France Europe.

Bird & Bird advised the lenders in the financial clorsure and Taj advised the University.

The University of Lille Nord de France is a center for higher education, academic research and doctoral studies located over multiple campuses centred in Lille. It includes a doctoral college that federates university institutes, engineering schools and research centres. With more than one hundred thousand students, it is one of the five largest university federations in France.
