Marne-la-Vallée University of eastern Paris, France and Univallée Copernicus have reached financial close for the PPP project involving the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) of the building Copernic of the University.
The Copernic building is in the form of a 220 m long bar developing a total area of 25 000 m². It hosts educational and research activities in the fields of mathematics, science and the information and communications technology.
The project was awarded to the French construction group Demathieu & Bard in May 2016. The financial closure has been achieved concurrently with the signing of the concession contract. The PPP contract runs over 29 years of duration.
The financing has been arranged with Crédit Foncier and Caisse d'Epargne ile-de-France, both subsidiaries of BPCE, the second largest bank in France.
