Sacyr Concesiones has announced the financial close for the Buin – Paine Hospital public-private partnership (PPP) project for a value of US$144 million in Maipo, Chile.

Sacyr has signed a contract with Banco Estado de Chile for the construction, operation and maintenance of a new facility of 56,000 m2 and 200 beds, as well as the purchase, replacement and maintenance of medical equipment and furniture.

The new hospital will benefit an estimated population of 170,000 people. It will include 200 beds, 6 wards, 34 consultation boxes, 17 procedures boxes, 3 comprehensive delivery rooms, 16 Emergency Service units, 18 dialysis chairs and 7 dental care areas. In addition, there are 12 critical patient beds, 117 medical-surgical beds, 36 gyneco-obstetric beds, 16 pediatric beds, 4 neonatal beds, and 15 adult psychiatry beds.
