Equitix and EQUANS (a subsidiary of Engie), the concessionaire for the Prichatts Park Student Village, have achieved financial close for the project. The concession will transform Pritchatts Park into a state-of-the-art, low-carbon accommodation in collaboration with the University of Birmingham.
The project aims to provide 496 new student beds as well as refurbish the existing 734 bedrooms in the student village. The scope of works also involves the provision of car parking and increasing the number of rooms available for those with accessibility requirements. Pritchatts Park Residence Project is the University’s first ever low-carbon accommodation, it has been designed to support an energy efficient construction and operation criteria.
The construction works for the park are expected to be finished by September 2024
