Ferrovial, through the NTE Mobility Partners consortium led by subsidiary Cintra, has completed a financing in the North Tarrant Express (NTE) toll road, in Texas, USA.
Utilizing private activity bonds (PABs), the consortium secured US$414.2 million. These funds are primarily allocated for financing the construction of specific capacity enhancements outlined in the Comprehensive Development Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Following the conclusion of this transaction, Ferrovial's subsidiaries, namely Ferrovial Construction and Webber, will take on the role of the design-build contractor, and construction will promptly commence. Improvements will start immediately upon completion of the transaction and are expected to finish in 2027.
