UniCredit, Banca IMI and UBI Banca will provide the €36.2 million to finance Este Monselice hospital in Italy. The main sponsors for the project are FONDACO, Gemmo and Consorzio Cooperative Costruzioni (CCC).
Euganea Sanità , the project company in charge of the developement of the new heathcare complex, has just received the first installment of €13 million payment for the building of the new area in northeast Italy.
Gemmo has a 9,75% share and will take care of technological systems inside the huge new complex.
The hospital is located not far from the Southern side of Colli Euganei, in the Province of Padova, in an area of approximately 257,000 square meters. It has three main buildings of 114.000sq.m, overall, including units for diagnosis, treatment and hospitalization with a 410 beds capacity and 27 operating rooms.
The project will replace four smaller, less efficient units in the area north of Padua.
The project total investment is €108.8 million. According to sources, the loan term is 25 years.
Fondaco has a €120 million closed-end fund registered in Italy with a duration of 12 years, which invests in infrastructure Public-Private Partnership schemes and in projects for energy generation from renewable sources.
