Fengate Capital Management welcomes Heather Crawford to the executive team

Canada's alternative asset management firm, Fengate Capital Management, has announced the appointment of Heather Crawford to the role of General Counsel within the firm's executive management team.

Heather is a high performance General Counsel with top-tier law firm experience and a reputation for proven leadership on diverse legal projects. After nearly eight years in private practice at Torys LLP, Heather transitioned to the role of General Counsel at Clairvest Group Inc. where she was responsible for the design and management of corporate governance policies and protocols to ensure adherence to compliance and best practices. She has extensive experience in analyzing, structuring, negotiating and closing sophisticated transactions, as well as providing oversight and guidance on complex legal matters involving multiple parties.

Lou Serafini Jr., President and CEO, said:

Heather will be responsible for general and corporate compliance matters while assisting in all aspects of the investment process.

In addition to her successful legal career, Heather is an active member of her community, giving her time as a director and officer of not-for-profit corporations as well as governance advisor to several not-for-profit boards. She is also an accomplished educator, currently lecturing at York University's Schulich School of Business and, previously, acting in the capacity of adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Heather earned her BA at Simon Fraser University, an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge. She is also an Institute-certified Director with the Institute of Corporate Directors.
