F2i has announced it is the main shareholder of the airport Riviera del Corallo of Alghero (Italy).
F2i (Fondi Italiani per le Infrastrutture) formed in January 2007, acquired a 72.5% stake in SO.GE.A.AL. S.p.A. (Società di Gestione Aeroporto di Alghero), the management company of the airport.
SFIRS S.p.A.and the district of Sardinia manages the remaining stake.
The procedures for the privatization of the company started in early 2016.
Founded in 1994, the airport has an annual capacity of over 2 million passengers.
