F&C Investments hires new Private Equity Investment Director from EIB

F&C Investments, a part of BMO Global Asset Management, has appointed David Walker as Investment Director, F&C Private Equity Funds.

With more than 20 years of private equity experience, Mr. Walker joins from the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg, where he was Head of Infrastructure Funds and previously Deputy Head of Equity Funds at the European Investment Fund (EIF).

After spending 14 years in Luxembourg with the EIB and the EIF, Mr. Walker has returned to his native city of Edinburgh, where he will join the eight-strong F&C Private Equity Funds team, reporting to team head Hamish Mair. He will be covering European funds, co-investments and renewables investments.

Hamish Mair, Head, F&C Private Equity, stated:

"We are pleased to welcome David to our team. He has an excellent understanding of the market, and a depth of experience in European private equity investing that will be invaluable to the team. His expertise in infrastructure and renewables will complement the skills of our team. I have known David for many years and his capabilities will make him a strong addition to the group."

Mr. Walker commented:

"For some time now I have recognised F&C's Private Equity Funds business as a well-established and fast-growing platform. I am very much looking forward to working with Hamish and the team to help accelerate that growth."
