Law firm Eversheds and Dhaka law firm Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates have been appointed as legal advisors to the Bangladesh PPP Office IPFF Project.
The appointment follows a review of the country's PPP structure and growing support and backing for public-private projects in the region. The appointment includes reviewing and reporting on existing projects, assisting in the development of policies, procedures and documentation for future projects and advising on specific projects over the 18 months of the appointment.
Eversheds acts for a significant number of clients, including the public sector, sponsors and banks on major PPP projects throughout the UK and internationally and has advised on a raft of top level projects.
By promoting the spread of PPP structures Eversheds remains at the forefront of the development of this type of infrastructure for governments, especially in developing regions where new social infrastructure is most urgently required.
