Everbright Water secures Shandong Ju County Shudong Waste Water Treatment BOT Project

China Everbright Water Limited has announced that it has secured Ju County Shudong Waste Water Treatment Project in Rizhao City, Shandong Province (China)

Shudong Project mainly treats municipal waste water from Shudong New Urban Area, which is located at the east of Shu River in Ju County. The Project will be constructed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis and has a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 20,000 m3 with a concession period of 30 years. The total investment of the project is approximately CNY50 million (US$ 7.5 million) and the water discharge will comply with the national Grade 1A standard. The Project is expected to complete construction and commence operation in 2017

In addition, Zhangqiu No. 1 and No. 2 Waste Water Treatment Plants which were previously secured by China Everbright Water Limited have been successfully transferred to the company's project and commenced commercial operation in May 2016. The total designed daily waste water treatment capacity of these two plants is 90,000 m3. The total investment is approximately CNY160 million (US$23.9 million) with a concession period of 30 years

Mr. Wang Tianyi, Executive Director & Chairman of Everbright Water, said:

"Securing the project deepens the company's cooperation with Ju County Government following the first cooperation in Ju County Chengbei Waste Water Treatment Project. Upon the completion of the project and commencement of its operation, the company will achieve economies of scale and further enhance its influence in Ju County through integrated management, so as to have better opportunity to further expand in Rizhao City and Southeast of Shandong Province as well as the surrounding areas."
