Last week, NHAI awarded four road projects, among them
the single-biggest highway project so far in the country, both in terms of value and length to GMR Infrastructure in the states of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The National Highways Autohority of India also awarded three other projects: to BSCPL Infrastructure in Chhattisgarh, to PFC in Karnataka and to
Soma Tollways in Madhya Pradesh.
But today we have found out that the bids for
two other projects for road contracts have been opened. One of them was opened yesterday and the other one today, Tuesday. You can see that
GVK Transportation and Essel Infrastructure will be awarded these road contracts as they emerged as the best bids.
Design, Engineering, Finance, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Four laning of Shivpuri-Dewas Section of NH 3 from km 236.00 to km 566.450 in the State of Madhya Pradesh under NHDP Phase IV on BOT (Toll) on DBFOT Pattern.
- Awarded to: GVK Transportation
- Annuity: NHAI will receive Rs 190 crore ($14 million) premium per annum
- Investment: Rs 2,815 crore ($634 million)
- Length: 230 Km
Four laning of Gwalior-Shivpuri Section of NH-3 from km 15.600 of NH-75 (End of Gwalior bypass) to km 236.00 of NH-3 in the State of Madhya Pradesh under NHDP Phase IV on BOT (Toll) on DBFOT Pattern.
