Equitix fund acquires stake in Italian hospital concession

Equitix Italy 3, an Italian company controlled by Equitix Fund III, has acquired approximately a 70% stake of Summano Health from Palladio Holding, Impresa di Costruzioni Ing. E. Mantovani and Gemm.   

Summano Health is the concessionaire of the new hospital Ulss Alto Vicentino. The project located at Santorso (Vicenza) covers a total surface area of 71,000 square meters with 460 beds. The total investment for the project reached €125 million (US$132 million).

DLA Piper acted as legal advisor to Equitix and Hideal Partners as financial advisor.

The sellers were advised by Bvr.  As M&A and financial advisor of Palladio Holding acted Palladio Corporate Finance.

The financing banks were assisted by Gianni Origoni Grippo Cappelli.

Gemmo will still hold a minority interest in Summano Health and will continue in the service and maintenance contracts in place with the company.
